Naomi and Brad Malon founded Whimsy Decor in 2022, combining modern craftsmanship, custom designs, and vibrant murals to create spaces brimming with personality. Their shared love for the arts fuels their work, crafting dream homes that feel like a buzzing hive of joy and belonging.

Meet Whimsy Decor

Driven by a love for creativity, Naomi pursued interior design at Harrington College of Design in Chicago. With 15 years of experience, she's received multiple Peak Performance awards and was named the 2017 Pinnacle Award winner for the best La-Z-boy designer in the Midwest Region - an accolade worthy of note among such esteemed company! Clients flock to her for unmatched expertise and artistry in bringing their designs to life.

Craftsmanship Specialist

Brad's artistic journey started with his grandfather, creating figurines and birdhouses together. As he grew, he applied his skills to assist family projects. Post high school, he joined the Painters Union for nine years, honing his craft. Brad then pursued his dream, establishing a mural company and later becoming self-employed. He dedicates himself to transforming spaces with his passion and style. Outside work, Brad enjoys gardening, painting, crafting furniture, and researching future projects.

We begin with a phone call to understand your design vision and budget. Then, we schedule an in-home visit to take measurements, review what will stay, and get a feel for your style and space.

At-Home Consultation

Defining Your Space

During the in-home visit, we assess the layout, take measurements, and note which elements stay. This step sets the foundation for a well-planned, personalized design.

Mock-Up & Design Collaboration

Visualizing the Dream

We create a 3D mock-up of your space, offering multiple swatch options. You'll be involved in every decision, with one revision included to ensure the design fits your vision

Purchasing & Finalizing

Making It Official

After approving the design, we finalize product selections and place orders. If custom craftsmanship is required, we coordinate those services.

Installation & completion

The Big Reveal

We handle the installation, placing every piece with care. Once complete, we walk through the finished space with you, ensuring it meets your expectations.
